Phil Herbert Ellis, 85, passed away Saturday, August 18, 2018. He was born April 15, 1933 in Nash County to the late Willie and Katie Boone Ellis. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Bill and Bobby Ellis; one sister, Helen Miller.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Essie Ellis; one son, Danny Ellis; two nieces; two nephews.

Visitation with family and friends will be Tuesday, August 21, 2018 from 11 - 12 p.m. with funeral service to follow at 12 p.m. at Cornerstone Funeral Home in Nashville with Rev. Mary Todd officiating. Burial will be at Forest Hill Cemetery of Nashville.
