Bobby Ray Carpenter, age 72, of Rocky Mount, passed away on Friday, July 20, 2018. Born in Nash County on December 3, 1945, he was the son of the late Clifton Carpenter and Cassie Wilkins Carpenter.

He is survived by his wife, Katherine Carpenter, son, Shawn Carpenter (Michelle), daughters, Elizabeth Arnold (Rob) and Elaine Henry (Kevin); seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; numerous cousins.

Services were held Sunday, July 22, 2018 at Johnson Funeral Home in Rocky Mount.
