Peggy Medford Proctor, age 83, of Rocky Mount, passed away on Sunday, July 15, 2018. Born in Oak City on October 4, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Harvey Medford and Emily Brown Medford. She is predeceased by her sons, Johnnie Baker, Jr. and Jeffery "JB" Baker. She is also predeceased by two sisters and two brothers.
She is survived by her husband of 17 years, Grady Proctor of Rocky Mount; daughter, Vicky Baker Batchelor and husband Jerry of Nashville; son, Ricky Baker of Roanoke, VA; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; one sister in California and several nieces and nephews.
Services were held on Wednesday, July 18, 2018 in the Chapel of Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services. Burial followed the service at Rocky Mount Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bethany Baptist Church, 704 Batchelor Road, Sharpsburg, NC 27878.
