Elaine Luper Stancil, age 63, of Elm City, passed away Monday, July 9, 2018. Born in Edgecombe County on January 31, 1955, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Alma and Theresa Parker Luper. She was also preceded in death by her Infant Granddaughter, Whitten Stancil.

She is survived by her husband of 34 years, Larry O'neil Stancil, of Elm City; sons, Damon Matthew Stancil, of Elm City, Joseph Patrick Stancil, of Manhattan, NY; sisters, Gail Luper Grimes, of Haughton, LA, and Anita Luper Liverman, of Smithfield, NC; several nieces and nephews.

Services were held Friday, July 13, 2018 in the Chapel of Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services with Pastor Charles Taylor officiating. A private family burial will followed the service at Mill Branch Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in Elaine's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1000, Department 142, Memphis, TN 38148-0142.
