Clay Taylor Strickland, 77, of Spring Hope passed away June 26, 2018. He was born March 10, 1941. A private funeral service was held in Evergreen Memorial Park, Wilson, NC, on June 27, 2018, officiated by Rev. Andy Raynor.

Clay is survived by his daughters, Cathy S. Barnes and husband, Chris, and Cindy S. Joyner and husband, Dennis; five grandchildren; a sister, Violet S. Weathers; and a niece, Catherine J. Weathers.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Dianne G. Strickland, and his parents, Marshall and Estelle Strickland.

Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Thomas-Yelverton Funeral Home, Wilson.
