Christine Overman Hollowell, age 80, of Rocky Mount, passed away Wednesday, June 27, 2018. Born in Nash County on August 20, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Roy and Audrey Overman. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Linwood Hollowell; daughters, Sonya Anderson and Teresa Dennison; two sisters, Audrey Overman and Lucille Dawson; and one brother, Thomas Overman.

She is survived by her sons, Ricky Hollowell (Cheryl) and Michael Hollowell; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; and sisters, Ethyl Englehardt, Patricia Denham and Betty McCarthy.

A visitation was held on Sunday, July 1, 2018 at Johnson Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
