NASHVILLE – Dercie Earl Bailey, 85, died Tuesday, April 18, 2006. Funeral services were held Friday, April 21 at Forest Hill Cemetery in Nashville.
He was born in Wilson County, June 6, 1920, son of the late Jesse Bailey and Mattie Morgan Bailey. His brother, James Franklin Bailey, preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth Carpenter Bailey of the home; daughters Kathryn Bailey Warrick and husband Larry of Rocky Mount, and Ingrid Jo Kennedy of Middlesex; son Earl Thomas Bailey and wife Linda of Rocky Mount; sisters Mary Bailey Holland of Bailey, Fannie Lee Bailey Winstead and Norman of Wilson, Rebecca Tyndall of Snow Hill; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
