Marjorie "Margie" Mae Askew Turner

Marjorie "Margie" Mae Askew Turner, age 81, of Rocky Mount, passed away Friday, June 8, 2018. Born in Bertie County, North Carolina on August 20, 1936, she was the daughter of the late William Clyde Askew, Sr. and Lillie Mae Ward Askew. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Leo Randolph Turner, Sr.; and two brothers, William Clyde Askew, Jr. and Arthur Askew.

Margie is survived by her daughter, Beverly Turner Sharp and her husband, Ed, of Oil City, PA; her two sons, Randy Turner and his wife, Ellen, of Wake Forest, and Tim Turner and his wife, Teri, of Rocky Mount; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren; two brothers, Rudy Askew and his wife Ramona, and David Askew and his wife Margaret; her two sisters-in-law, Verlie Askew and Carolyn Askew; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A privategathering of family and friends to celebrate Margie's life will be held on a later date.
