Betty Lou Johnson Earp

Betty Lou Johnson Earp, 78, passed away Sunday, June 3, 2018. She was born November 24, 1939 in Nash County to the late Walter Sr. and Cleora Williams Carpenter. In addition to her parents Betty Lou was preceded in death by her first husband, Joseph R. Johnson.

She is survived by her husband, George Lee Earp; children, Betty Jo, Joy Lou, Joseph McClellan (Tracey), and John W. Johnson, and Jackie L. (Neil) Ruffin; step-children, Chad (Brandy), Roger Lee and Charles James Earp; brothers and sisters, Ravin (Carol) and Truman (Myrtle) Carpenter, Roselle Tyson, Rochelle Whitehead, Eleanor Howell and Katie (Marvin) Lynch ; sister-in-laws, Diane (Robert) Bunn and Lillie (Carleton) Arnold; 8 grandchildren.

Visitation with family and friends will be Tuesday, June 5, 2018 from 5-7 p.m. with funeral service to follow at 7 p.m. in the Chapel of Cornerstone Funeral Home of Nashville. Committal service for family and friends will be Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at 11 a.m., Bailey Cemetery.
