Hershal Herbert Braswell, age 84, of Nashville, passed away on Wednesday, January 31, 2018. Born in Johnston County, NC on November 25, 1933, he was the son of the late Joseph A. Braswell and Virginia Pearce Braswell. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Carole Moore Braswell; son, John Patrick Braswell; and brother, Graham Braswell.

He is survived by his sons, Alan Braswell and wife, Sandy, of Newport, Danny Braswell of Jacksonville, FL; and daughters, Tina Braswell Morse and husband, Tom, of Birmingham, AL, and Debi Braswell Moss of Nashville; 11 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; brother, Vernon Braswell of Hugo; sisters, Eunice Rose Weaver of Smithfield, and Marie Deans of Pine Level; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at Rocky Mount Memorial Park with Rev. Rufus Massengill officiating.
