Joyce Bissette Tedder, 89 of Bailey, passed away on January 15, 2018. She was born on May 10, 1928. She was born in Nash County on May 10, 1928 to the late Ressie Bissette and Lizzie Finch Bissette. She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Howard Thomas Tedder and daughter, Susan Tedder Lane.

Funeral services were hel Friday, January 19, 2018 at Mount Pleasant United Methodist, Bailey. Pastor Carlos Castano officiatee. Interment followed in Bailey Town Cemetery.

She is survived by her daughter, Gail Perry and husband, Hal of Raleigh; sisters, Carolyn B. Raper of Wilson, and Rebekah Smith of Wilmington; brother, Dan Beard and wife, Diane of Bailey; three grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren.
