Robert Stephen Joyner, 60, passed away Sunday, December 4, 2017. He was born November 24, 1957 in Nash County to the late Robert Elbert and Shirley Stephens Joyner. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sons, Andy and Scottie Joyner, one brother, Gary Joyner and one sister, Norma Land.

He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Sheila Kennedy Joyner; son, Robert Steve Joyner, Jr. (Crystal) two sisters, Gail Robbins (Norwood) and Pamela Baker; four grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; sister-in-law, Lisa Dickerson.

Visitation with family and friends will be Thursday, December 7, 2017 from 1 - 2 p.m. at Joyner Family Cemetery, 3106 S. Church Street, Rocky Mount, with graveside service to follow at 2 p.m.
