Johnny Robert "Bob" Williams

Johnny Robert "Bob" Williams, 88, died November 18, 2017. Born in Rocky Mount on October 30, 1929, he was the eldest child of his late parents, Johnnie Joseph (Jack) Williams, Sr., and Iola Myrtle Pullen Williams. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Angerlane Whitfield Williams, and his brother, Philmore Eugene Williams.

He is survived by two sons, Anthony Lane (Tony) and wife Melanie of Goldsboro, and Michael Shane (Mike) and wife Valerie of Clayton; his sister Doril Elaine Henderson and husband Jack of Rocky Mount; his brother Johnnie Joseph (Jackie) Williams, Jr, and wife Davetta of Corinth, TX; his sister-in-law Gloria Williams Proakis and husband Tony of Richmond; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services with Rev. Mike Hinrichs officiating. Burial will follow at Pineview Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 12:30 - 1:30 p.m. prior to the service in the Atrium of Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home.

In lieu of funeral flowers, cash contributions are requested to be made to the Westside Church of Christ, 2551 Benvenue Road, Rocky Mount, NC 27804. These funds will be dedicated to the Westside worldwide evangelism program to which Mr. Williams was committed.
