MARY SHERROD WILKES
Mary Sherrod Wilkes, 87, passed away, Monday, March 31, 2008. She was born July 15, 1920. She was the daughter of the late Tommy and Betty Boone Sherrod.

She was preceded in death by a son, Marvin James Hendricks, brother & sisters, Earl Sherrod, Elgia Sherrod and Beulah Hodges, son-in-law, Roger Marshall, grandchild, Lisa Lamm, brother-in-law, Jack Purvis and Jack Hodges.

She leaves to cherish her memory, eleven children, Marshall Hendricks and wife Faye, Roy Lee Hendricks and Wife Dee, Peggy Tyson and husband Tommy, Juanita Marshall, William Hendricks and wife Cathy, Patricia Wohl and husband Julius, James Hendricks, Ginger Lamm and husband Dickie, Vann Hendricks, Brenda Spivey and husband Joey, Tommy Hendricks; brothers and sisters, Curtis Sherrod and wife Helen, Oscar Sherrod and wife Alice, Mable S. Purvis, Hassell Sherrod and wife Becky, Wesley Sherrod and wife Betty; two sister-in-law’s, Goletta Sherrod and Thelma Sherrod, sixteen grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.

Visitation was Wednesday, April 2, 2008 from 7:00-8:30PM at Cornerstone Funeral Home. Funeral Service were Thursday, April 3, 2008 at 1:00PM at Nashville Praise and Worship with the Bishop Kenneth Johnson, Pastor Wayne Mills and Pastor Ron Hawley officiating. Burial followed at Forest Hill Cemetery of Nashville.

Arrangements are entrusted to Cornerstone Funeral Home and Cremations, 1052 South First Street, Nashville, NC 27856.
