Betty Dianne Batts, age 67, of Rocky Mount, passed away on Monday, October 9, 2017. Born in Edgecombe County on January 4, 1950, she was the daughter of the late David Lee Daughtridge, Sr. and Augustine Beatrice Bradley Daughtridge. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Edwin Batts on June 26, 2017; a nephew Marvin "Marty" Poole; and a great nephew Brian McGowan.

She is survived by her sisters, Jessie McGowan of Rocky Mount, Patricia Poole and her husband, Marvin, of Myrtle Beach, SC; brother, Tommy Lee Daughtridge and his wife, Judy, of Bath; sister-in-law, Judy B. Manning and her husband, Ray, of Rocky Mount; several nieces and nephews; 12 great nieces and nephews.

Services will be held Saturday, October 14, 2017 at 5 p.m. in the Chapel of Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services with Rev. David West and Amanda Cruz officiating. Visitation with the family will be from 4 - 5 p.m. prior to the service in the Atrium of Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home.
