Mary Elizabeth Deans, 93, passed away Saturday August 26, 2017. She was born in Hurlock, Maryland to the late Oliver and Sadie Travers Wroten. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband James E. Deans Sr. and a grandson Jonathan Matthew Crick.
She is survived by her son James E. (Jimmy) Deans Jr. (Mary); daughters Teresa Gail Crick (Robert) and Delores Yvonne (Vonnie) Yost (Bennett); 4 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; 4 great-great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, August 29, 2017 at Cornerstone Funeral Home with Rev. Richard Gurganus and Jason Cockrell officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at 12 p.m. Burial will follow at Rocky Mount Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice & Palliative Care of Nash Healthcare 2460 Curtis Ellis Dr Rocky Mount, NC 27804 and/or Peace Makers of Rocky Mount 1725 Davis St. Rocky Mount, NC 27803.
