RICHARD "DICKIE" LEWIS BRAKE, JR.
ROCKY MOUNT - Richard "Dickie" Lewis Brake, Jr., 66, passed away July 9, 2006. He was born in Edgecombe County, on August 6, 1939, to the late Richard Lewis Brake, Sr. and Dorothy Bulluck Brake.

He is survived by his four sisters: Connie and Jim Hamlett, Sandra and Billy Gardner, Debra and Wayne Calhoun, and Lolita and Joe Keel; two brothers: William Thomas (Tommy) and Janice Brake, and Donnie and Trish Brake, along with one very special aunt; Margaret H. Armstrong, and several special nieces and nephews, along with several special great nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 12, 2006, at Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home with Rev. Roy Porter officiating. Burial will follow at Pineview Cemetery. The family received friends Tuesday, July 11, 2006 at the funeral home, and other times at the home of Sandra Gardner.
