Sally Mae Worrell Braswell

Sally Mae Worrell Braswell, age 88, of Rocky Mount, passed away on Tuesday, March 7, 2017. Born in Edgecombe County on November 26, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Joe Worrell and Bettie Griffin Worrell. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert Braswell; sons, Bobby Braswell and Raymond Braswell; brothers, Thurston Worrell, Henry Worrell, John Worrell, and Ernest Worrell; and sisters, Nellie Lynn and Emma Lancaster.

She is survived by her daughters, Vicki Braswell Daughtridge and husband, Al, of Rocky Mount and Betty Jo Braswell Allen of Castle Hayne; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 11, 2017 at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services with Rev. Tony Russ officiating. Burial will follow at Rocky Mount Memorial Park. Visitation with the family will be one hour prior to the service.
