Alberta "Peter" Strickland Alston

Alberta "Peter" Strickland Alston, 76, died on Thursday, February 9, 2017. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 16, 2017 at 1 p.m. from the Cedar Rock Baptist Church in Castalia, with Rev. Sylvester White, officiating. Burial will follow in the Cedar Rock Church Cemetery.

She is survived by her husband, David Lee Alston of the home; six daughters, Elnora Henry and her husband, James of Ivanhoe, Phyllis Summers and her husband, Howard of Goldsboro, Debolyn Ragland and her husband, Leon, Ethel Bryant and her husband, James, Carla Powell and her husband, Michael and Albertina Alston, all of Louisburg; four sons, Richard Alston and his wife, Bonita, of Columbus, SC, Rodney Alston and his wife, Tracy, of Nashville, Gary Alston and his wife, Teresa, of Conyers, GA, Toney Alston and his wife, Twanetta of the home; two sisters, Melissa Dean and Joanne Battle, both of Louisburg; eight brothers, Roma Strickland and his wife, Delois, of Ft. Washington, MD, John Thomas Strickland of Baltimore, MD, Willie Strickland and his wife, Beulah of Youngsville, Morris Strickland of High Point, Charles Strickland and his wife, Jewel of Deerpark, NY, Arthur Strickland and his wife, Queenie and Baby Ray Strickland, both of Louisburg and Antonio Bell of Nashville.
