Jesse "JC" Clifton Bailey, age 83, of Spring Hope, passed away on Monday, January 23, 2017. Born in Nash County, on August 25, 1933, he was the son of the late Dockie Lee Bailey and Nettie C. Nixon. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Jo Bailey; and brother, Charles Sidney Bailey.
He is survived by his daughters, Jessie Faye Keen of Spring Hope, Melody Steed and husband, Frank, of Spring Hope, and Net Bailey of Nashville; step-son, John Keen of Spring Hope; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one great great-granddaughter.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, January 26, 2017 at 2 p.m. at Rocky Mount Memorial Park with Pastor Mark E. Bateman officiating. The family will receive friends and relatives on Wednesday, January 25, 2017 from 7 - 8:30 p.m. at Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
