Janie Rivers Whitley, 48, passed away Wednesday, January 4, 2017. She was born in Nash County, January 27, 1968.

She is survived by her father, Wiley Tant; mother, Yvonne Wood; soul mate, Drew Artrip; daughters, Jessica Williams, Amber Owens (Tyler), Michelle Frost (Scott), Renee Haywood (Tim); 7 grandchildren; brother, Glenn Tant (Debbie); sisters, Joyce Robinson and Carol Robinson (J.V.).

A memorial service will be held 6:30 p.m. Friday, January 6, 2017 at Rock Springs Free Will Baptist Church with Pastor Walter Blackman officiating.

The family will receive friends following the service at the church and at the home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Drew Artrip, 13002 Eagle Ridge Drive, Zebulon, NC 27597 to assist the family with the services.
