Minnie Ann Woodruff Nelms

Minnie Ann Woodruff Nelms, 73, of Castalia, passed away Saturday, November 12, 2016. She was born February 24, 1943 in Nash County to the late William Lonnie and Annie Batchelor Woodruff. She was preceded in death by one brother, Lonnie Lee Woodruff and wife Doris, one sister, Ella Louise Woodruff Parker, who she dearly loved.

She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Jack Nelms of the home; three daughters, Teresa Robbins and husband Ronnie of Nashville, Sheila Hawkins and husband Jerry of Castalia, Patricia Sloop and husband Matthew of Nashville; two sons, Bobby Nelms and wife Dee Dee of Castalia, and Billy Nelms of Nashville; 11 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren and one to be born in 2017; brothers, John Woodruff and wife Brenda of Red Oak, and Henry Woodruff of Sharpsburg; one brother-in-law, Kelly Parker of Nashville; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held Tuesday, November 15, 2016 at 7 p.m. with Rev. Ricky Nelms officiating.Visitation to follow at Cornerstone Funeral Home of Nashville.
