Hildegarde "Hilda" H. Johnston, of Rocky Mount, passed away on Saturday, November 5, 2016.

She was born on July 10, 1950 in Halifax County to James O. Harrison and Carrie Martin Harrison.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five brothers: James "Bully" Harrison, Charles "Bit" Harrison, Fredrick "Fred" Harrison, William Lee Harrison and Raymond "Ray" Harrison.

Survivors include her husband, Marvin N. Johnston; daughters, Marvine J. Goss and her husband, Antonio D., of Johnson City, TN and Carrie J. Barnett and her husband, Sean G; two granddaughters; one great granddaughter; siblings, Elizabeth H. Thomas and her husband, Charles and Reginald Harrison, Sr., of Roanoke Rapids.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, November 10, 2016 at 11 a.m. in Crestview Memorial Cemetery in Roanoke Rapids with Pastor Gregory Heyward giving words of comfort.
