PHILLIP “PHIL” LEE YARBORO
Phillip “Phil” Lee Yarboro, 55, died Friday, February 15, 2008. He was born December 7, 1952 in Vance County. He was preceded in death by his step-father, Isaac Elmer Strickland and his sister, Rebecca “Becky” Surles Yarboro.

Survivors include his wife of the home, Agnes Edwards Yarboro; his mother, Gertrude Strickland of Guardian of Rocky Mount; one brother, John Thomas Yarboro, Jr. and wife Linda of Raleigh; one step-sister, Jay Stewart and husband Tim of New Bern; one step-brother, Edward Strickland and wife Tammy of Knightdale; and his wife’s parents, Raymond and Mabel Edwards of Rocky Mount.

The family received friends from 6 to 8 pm Saturday, February 16, 2008 at Johnson Funerals and Cremations-English Rd. A funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Sunday, February 17, 2008 in the Chapel with Pastor Tony Bossolono officiating. Burial will immediately follow at Pineview Cemetery. Flowers will be accepted or contributions can be made to Duke Comprehensive Cancer, 512 S. Mangum Street, Durham, NC 27710 or the charity of ones choice.
