David Earl Leonard, Jr., age 65, of Rocky Mount, passed away on Tuesday, October 4, 2016. Born in Nash County on June 20, 1951, he was the son of J. B. Medlin and the late Jean Denton Medlin. He was also preceded in death by his brother Mike Leonard.
He is survived by his wife, Fern Farrish Leonard; sons, David Everette Leonard (Aimee) and Haleigh of Hardy, VA; and Blake Marion Leonard of New Orleans, LA and step-son, William Radford; his father, J. B. Medlin; sisters, Mary Ann Leonard Moss (Tony) of Rocky Mount; and Vicki Leonard Daughtridge (Jay) of Rocky Mount; brother, Rev. Tim Medlin (Sherri) of Fayetteville; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will have a private graveside service at a later date.
