George A. Wadsworth, age 81, passed away on Sunday, October 9, 2016. Born in Edgecombe County on November 22, 1934, he was the son of the late William and Ida Wadsworth. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Nadine Wadsworth, son, Charles Albert Wadsworth, brother, Roosvelt Wadsworth and sister, Eula Mae Summerlin.

He is survived by his daughters, Edna Faye Ellerbe, Linda Pearl White (Tony), Janice Alford (Kenny) and family friend Lori Little; six grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; two brothers, William and Edward Wadsworth; sister, Mattie Pigg.

A visitation will be held on Thursday October 13, 2016 at Johnson Funeral Home from 6-8 p.m. . Funeral Service will be held on Friday, October 14, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Johnson Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Edgecombe Memorial Park.
