David Wayne Sharpe, 62, passed away Sunday, August 21, 2016. He was born on July 17, 1954 in Wilson County to the late Thad Sr. and Pauline Webb Sharpe. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a grandson Devin, brother, Thad Sharpe Jr., sister Cathy King and former wife, Deborah Kay Sharpe.

He is survived by his wife, Lucille, of 21 years; one son, Jonathan Sharpe; three daughters, Tracey Crusenberry (DJ), Amanda Viverette, and Stephanie Sharpe; sister Jennifer Bayliss; mother-in-law Velma Elizabeth Pope; seven grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, August 24, 2016 at 1 p.m. at Memorial Baptist Church with Rev. Tony Russ officiating.
