Tassie Ree Langley

Tassie Ree Langley, 90, of Sharpsburg, passed away Thursday, August 11, 2016. She was born May 18, 1926 in Nash County to the late German Datice and Mabel Batts Langley.

Tassie was the tenth of fourteen children. Her parents and nine of her siblings preceded her in death. She is survived by three sisters, Edith Strickland of Rocky Mount, Janie Leegins (Bill) of Wilson and Jackie L. Barnes (Don) of Goldsboro and one brother Wiley F. Langley (Georgia) of Holden Beach.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Tassie Ree Langley Scholarship Fund at Nash Community College, 522 N. Old Carriage Road, Rocky Mount, NC 27804 or First United Methodist Church, 100 S. Church St., Rocky Mount, NC 27804.

Funeral services will be held Monday, August 15 at 3 p.m. in the chapel of Johnson Funeral Home, 661 English Road, Rocky Mount. Burial will take place at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
