Eva Edith Rackley, age 83, of Nashville, passed away Saturday, August 13, 2019. Born in Königsberg, Germany on November 24, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Bruno Matiszyk and Edith Saverbaum Matiszyk.

She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Elisha Rackley of Nashville; her sons, Randy Rackley and his wife, Susan, of Rocky Mount, and Larry Rackley of Rocky Mount; two grandchildren: sister Christa Kunz and her husband, Eugen, of Germany.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at 3 p.m. in the Chapel of Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services with Dr. Michael Cloer, Senior Pastor of Englewood Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will follow at Rocky Mount Memorial Park. Visitation with the family will be Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at 1:30 p.m. until service time.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Eva's name to the Englewood Baptist Church Thanksgiving Fund, 1350 S. Winstead Ave., Rocky Mount, NC 27804.
