George Washington Mills, 84, of Rocky Mount, died on Saturday, June 4, 2016.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Linda Taybron officiating. Burial followed in the Pleasant Grove Church Cemetery.

Survivors include four daughters, Patricia Ann Mills, of Whitakers, Carolyn M. Bullock, of Rocky Mount, Peggy Mills, of Hollister and Nannie Mills, of Sharpsburg; three sons, Samuel Mills, of Raleigh, Donald Mills and his wife, Darlene, of Hollister and Robert Mills, of Whitakers; two sisters, Lena A. Richardson, of Nashville and Nezell Battle, of Rocky Mount; 21 grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren.
