Allen Dale Alford

Allen Dale Alford, age 58, passed away on Wednesday, May 25, 2016. Born in Nash County, on June 24, 1957, he was the son of the late Charlie Clifton Alford and Vivian Parker "Bunny" Alford. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Mary Lindsay Alford, his granddaughter, Riley Grace, and his brother-in-law, Timmy Lee Pridgen.

He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Glenda Smith Alford of Red Oak; his son, Allen Blair Alford and his wife, Diana, of Rocky Mount; sister, Vickie Alford Pridgen of Red Oak; four grandchildren; mother-in-law, Angelane Smith; sister-in-law, Angie Waters and her husband, Glenn, all of Red Oak; a niece, neephews and many friends.

A visitation will be held on Saturday evening, May 28, 2016 from 7-9 p.m. at Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Rocky Mount.

Flowers are welcome or memorials may be made in Lindsay's name to Duke Children's Office of Development, 710 W. Main Street, Durham, NC 27701.
