Ruby Butler Hobbs, 88, of Nashville, and formerly of Washington, D.C., died May 9, 2016.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 14, 2016 at St. Marks Baptist Church, 624 Underwood St. NW in Washington, D. C. with Rev. Dr. Raymond T. Matthews officiating. Burial will follow in George Washington Cemetery in Adelphi, Maryland.

A viewing will be held on Saturday at the church from 10 a.m. to the time of the funeral. Public viewing at Edwards Funeral Home 805 Nash St. E. in Wilson will be held on Thursday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and at Mt. Vernon Missionary Baptist Church, 904 S. Alston St. in Nashville from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. with the family receiving friends starting at 5: 30 p.m.
