Raymond Lee Peace (Mista), 74, of Nashville, passed Friday, April 22nd, 2016. Raymond was born in Edgecombe County on January 11, 1942 and was the son of the late Robert and Dolly Peace. He was preceded in death by his brothers Henry Leake, Robert Ray, George Melvin and his sisters Mary Louise, Norma Juanita and Elizabeth Dean.

He is survived by his wife Frances Peace; sisters Frances Mae and Shirley Jean; brothers Thomas Earl, John Allen, Douglas Keith and William (Shorty) Oliver; children Leigh Ann (Johnny) Tripp of Elm City, Missy (Chris) Toler of Elm City, Terry (Donnie) Jones of Nashville, Jinny Kaye Johnson of Rocky Mount, Wayne (Crystal) Johnson of Nashville, Jerry Johnson of Rocky Mount, and Frankie (Beth) Proctor of Rocky Mount; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at Cornerstone Funeral Home on Monday, April 25th, 2016 at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.
