Doris Mildred Mooneyhan, 88, passed away Thursday, April 7, 2016. She was born in Nash County on November 24, 1927. She was the daughter of late William Spencer Sledge and Mary Jones Sledge. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Randy Doss.

She is survived by her son, Floyd M. Doss and wife Debbie; sister, Ruby Wilkie and family of Tallahassee, Florida; her brother, Benjamin Sledge and family of St. Petersburg, Florida; four grandchildren; two great grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held at 2 pm on Tuesday, April 12 , 2016 at Cornerstone Funeral Home with Pastor Harry Fowler officiating. Burial will follow in Rocky Mount Memorial Park. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
