Roger Dale Turner, age 65, of Rocky Mount, passed away on Monday, March 28, 2016. Born in Nash County, on April 5, 1950, he was the son of the late James Turner and Veda Veronia Edwards Turner. He was also preceded in death by one brother, Milton Turner.

He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Billie Harrell Turner; his two sons, Billy Phillips and his wife, Melissa, of Noblesville, IN and Craig Phillips and his wife, Kay, of Henderson; and his daughter, Dawn Turner of Nashville; three grandchildren; two brothers, James Turner, Jr. of Rocky Mount and Carlton Turner of Maxton.

A funeral service will be held Thursday, March 31, 2016 at 7 p.m. in the Chapel of Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services. Friends are welcome to visit with the family one hour prior to the service beginning at 6 p.m.
