Minnie Jackson Cockrell, 91, passed away March 26, 2016. She was born in Edgecombe County to the late Charlie and Mollie Braswell Jackson. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Luther G. Cockrell and several brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her son, Dennis Cockrell and wife,Nora; daughter, Betty Edwards and husband, Douglas; four grandchildren; ten great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 11 am at Pineview Cemetery on Wednesday, March 30, 2016 with Rev. Danny Harris officiating.
