Private William "Bill" Martin Phifer of Rocky Mount passed away on March 17, 2016. He was born on October 21st, 1983 in Cleveland County. He was the son of Joseph "Marty" Phifer of Kings Mountain, North Carolina and Gwendolyn "Marie" Watkins Phifer of Shelby. He was preceded in death by his mother Gwendolyn Marie Watkins Phifer Addington and former fiancé Jessica "Jessie" Jean Pitillo of Lincoln County.

He is survived by his father Joseph "Marty" Phifer and brothers Joey Phifer and wife Brandy of Seneca, South Carolina and Timmy Addington and wife Amy of Rocky Mount; his sister Tiffany Addington of Rocky Mount; and nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday, March 22, 2016 in the Chapel of Johnson Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
