Brooklyn Community News
I would formally like to introduce you to the Brooklyn Area Community Watch.

Let me start with Brooklyn. Brooklyn – is a street located in Nashville. Area – refers to the surrounding streets in the area. Community – is defined by Webster as “a unified body of individuals or the people with common interests living in a particular area or an interacting population of various kinds of individuals in a common location.”

Now the most important word is Watch. When people hear of a community watch – they first think crime prevention of some sort. That is understandable and yes, we stay aware of our surroundings and community activities to reduce and hopefully eliminate crime from happening.

But the Brooklyn Area Community Watch has taken the word Watch to another level.

We watch out for our elderly. We watch out for the area youth. We watch out for our neighbors. We watch out for our law enforcement officers. We watch out for one another. After all, the community will be lost if you are only “watching” for crime.
