Eric Marquis Tyler, 27, passed away Monday, February 15, 2016. He was born September 22, 1988 in Nash County. He was preceded in death by maternal grandfather, Lt. Col. James Batts and paternal grandparents, W.R. and Doris Tyler.

He is survived by his mother, Cindy Tyler; father, Mark Tyler and wife Brenda; one brother, Evan Tyler; maternal grandmother, Clara "Foxy" Batts; two daughters, Madison and Lainey Tyler; one son, Jackson Tyler and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday, February 23, 2016 at 2 p.m. at St. Paul United Methodist Church of Rocky Mount. Family will visit with family and friends immediately following the service.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, P.O. Box 2151 Memphis, TN 38101-2151 or St. Paul United Methodist Church @ 1217 Bethlehem Road Rocky Mount NC 27803.
