Shields Daughtridge Jones Harris

Shields Daughtridge Jones Harris, passed away on February 17, 2016. She was born November 25, 1924. She was the daughter of Clyde Daughtridge Jones and Millard Franklin Jones. She was predeceased by her husband, Charles Cooper Harris, Jr.; her sister, Shirley Jones Woodard and her husband, B. Bunn Woodard, as well as her sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Carolyn Harris Webb and The Hon. John Webb.

She is survived by her daughter Shields (Shebe) Daughtridge Harris; her son Charles (Chris) Cooper Harris, III, and her daughter Millard (Millie) Harris Walker and husband, Bill; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law Harriett Belk Daughtridge Harris; along with nieces and nephews and cousins.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 20, at 5-7 p.m. and other times at the home of Millie and Bill Walker, 5001 Brassfield Drive, Rocky Mount. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, February 21, at 2 p.m. at the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd, 231 N. Church Street, Rocky Mount. The family will greet friends in the Parish Hall, following the service.

In lieu of flowers, it is suggested that you make a donation in her memory to the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd, 231 N. Church Street, Rocky Mount, NC 27804, or to Nash Hospice, 2460 Curtis Ellis Drive, Rocky Mount, NC 27804.
