Griffiths appointed VP of instruction at NCC
Nash Community College announces Deborah Griffiths has been appointed as Vice President for Instruction. Prior to becoming Vice President, Griffiths was the Department Chair for the Health Sciences Department at Nash Community College.

Griffiths holds a Master of Science in Nursing from East Carolina University, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Atlantic Christian College, an Associate Degree in Nursing from Santa Fe Community College and is currently working towards a Doctorate of Nursing Practice from Waynesburg University.
Additionally, she holds licensure as a Registered Nurse. Griffiths is also a certified nurse educator, a distinction earned through a certification examination and administered by the National League of Nursing. As of September 2007, only 772 nurse educators in the United States held this credential.

“Deborah has been with the College for sixteen years and for the past eight years has managed the College’s allied health programs. Managing the complexities associated with these programs has been good training for her new responsibilities,” said Bill Carver, NCC President.

Deborah Griffiths currently serves on the Twin Rivers Chapter of the American Red Cross Board of Directors and is a member of the National Organization for Associate Degree Nursing, the North Carolina Community College Faculty Association and the National League for Nursing and the North Carolina Associate Degree Nursing Council.

She and her husband, Terry, reside in Whitakers and have two children, Nathan and Devon.
