Addie Parker Tyson Williams, born on September 30, 1934, passed away Friday, December 18, 2015. She was born in Pitt County to the late Henry C. Tyson and Mary Ida Edwards Tyson. She was predeceased in death by her brothers, Aaron Tyson and Henry C. Tyson; and her sisters, Louie Dell Streetman, Carrie Bess Davis, and Rose T. Gardner.

She is survived by her husband of 34 years, Thomas C. Williams; her sisters, Sally T. Mozingo and Mary T. Smith, and brother, Amos Tyson of Farmville; her daughters, Joyce Leonard Swartz of Rocky Mount and Mary Ellen Leonard of Nashville; her sons, Howard H. Leonard II and his wife, Jan, of Rocky Mount; Robert C. Leonard and his wife, Cynthia, of Nashville; and stepson, James Clinton Williams and his wife, Gina, of Lillington; eight grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services with Pastor Patrick Sinclair officiating. Visitation with the family will follow the service. Burial will be held on Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at 11 a.m. Asbury United Methodist Church Cemetery, RR 4, Sanford, NC 27330.
