Lois Winstead Cockrell

Lois Winstead Cockrell, 81, passed away on November 24, 2015. Lois was born May 8,1934 in Nash County to the late George and Martha Ella Eason Winstead. In addition to her parents and husband, Randolph, she was preceded in death by brothers, Floyd, Oscar and Ollie Winstead; sisters, Lessie Poland, Laila Joyner, Irene Barnes and Mary Pridgen.

She is survived by three sons; Randy Cockrell and wife Nancy, Greg Cockrell and wife Robyn, Melvin Cockrell and wife Gwen; one daughter, Debra Cockrell Dawes and husband Gene; one sister, Jane Joyner; 6 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren.

A funeral service was held Saturday, November 28, 2015 in the Mausoleum Chapel at Rocky Mount Memorial Park with Rev. Paul Weaver officiating.

Arrangements by Cornerstone Funeral Home and Cremations, Nashville.
