Wilson Hubbard Dykes

Wilson Hubbard Dykes, age 88, of Nashville, passed away on Tuesday, November 3, 2015. Born in Andalusia, AL on November 8, 1926, he was the son of the late Wilson Hubbard Dykes and Annie Murphy Dykes. He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Hazel Adams and Frances Ward; three brothers, Raymond Dykes, Morgan Dykes and James Dykes.

He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Helen May Dykes; two daughters, Valorie Sauls and her husband, Timothy, of Nashville, and Melinda Vencill and her husband, Don, of Apple Valley, CA; 5 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; his sister, Amorette Reece; and his two brothers, Oscar Dykes and Charles Dykes.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 7, 2015 at 2 pm in the Chapel of Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services with Pastor Timothy Sauls officiating. Visitation with the family will be one hour prior to the service. A private family burial will follow the service. The family will be receiving friends at the home of Jason and Jessica Jefferys, 8470 Red Oak Blvd., Nashville, after the services.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Calvary Chapel of Red Oak, 3731 Red Oak Battleboro Road, Battleboro, NC 27809.
