Jimmy Lane Hill, age 64, of Rocky Mount, passed away on Monday, September 14, 2015. Born in Edgecombe County on December 24, 1950, he was the son of the late Johnnie Herman Hill and Lillian Winiford Smith Hill. He was also preceded in death by three sisters and five brothers.

He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Kay Hutto Hill, his daughter, Jennifer Taylor Wells and her husband, Kevin, of Nashville; and his son, Fred Taylor and his wife, Samantha of Beaufort; four grandchildren, Meaghan Tyson, Grayson; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 17, 2015 at 7pm in the Chapel of Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Rocky Mount. Burial will be at a National Cemetery at a later date. Visitation with the family will be one hour prior to the service and then again after the service.
