SALLIE STRUM VICK

Sallie Strum Vick, 80, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, August 30, 2015. She was born in Nash County September 8, 1934 to the late James Benjamin and Lottie Frazier Strum. She was a member of Nashville Baptist Church.

Sallie loved her family, friends and the Lord. She helped others in a quiet, loving manner. Sallie enjoyed the love and laughter of children and they loved and cherished her. She joyfully loved and spoiled them. Sallie was a special lady to those who knew her and is already missed. In addition to her parents, Sallie was preceded in death by brothers, Jim Allen Strum, Marvin Strum, Jack Strum and a sister Carolyn Turner Nelms.

She leaves to cherish her memory, son Josiah Benjamin "Benjy" Vick and wife Robin of Fuquay-Varina; daughter Kami Tucker and husband Howard of Jamestown; grandchildren Caleb and Rachel Vick, Jillian Tucker; brothers Mack Strum and Judy Creech of Garner, Ronald Strum of Nashville; sisters Catherine Nelms and husband T.O. of Castalia, Lorene Hagwood of Clayton, Kay Provotero and husband John of Cape Carteret and numerous nieces and nephews.

A service to celebrate her life will be held 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 2, 2015 at Cornerstone Funeral Home with Rev. Jason Gault officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.

Flowers are accepted or memorial donations may be made to Nashville Baptist Church Nursery, 512 E. Washington St., Nashville, NC 27856 or to the American Cancer Society, 8300 Health Park #10, Raleigh, NC 27615.
