Phillip Harold Boone, 62, passed away Monday, August 10, 2015. He was born March 27, 1953 in Nash County.

He was preceded in death by his father, Shanty Boone and a sister, Wanda Smith, brothers in law, Tom Smith and Thommie Taylor.

He is survived by his wife Carolyn Young Boone, his mother, Irene Carpenter Boone; son, Brandon Boone; 2 grandchildren; sisters, Elizabeth Taylor, Janet Rowland; brothers in law, Larry Stevens and wife Deborah, Steve Sanders and wife Tanya.

A service to celebrate his life will be held 7:00 p.m., Thursday, August 13, 2015 at Cornerstone Funeral Home with Rev. Reuben Batchelor, Rev. Daniel Moss, Rev. Daniel Parker and Rev. Lin Robinson officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
