LUTHER ALTON "BUD" JOYNER

Luther Alton "Bud" Joyner, 83, passed away on Monday, June 22, 2015. He was born in Nash County to the late John Luther and Effie Batts Joyner of Bend of the River Road Community. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Virginia; four sisters, Fannie Pearl, Ocie, Doris Poplin and Reba Carpenter and one brother, Nurney.
He is survived by his daughter, Bonnie Sue Joyner; brothers, Oliver (Ruth), Delton (Lois) and Chessell Joyner; sisters, Linda Tyson (Wayne), Margie Joyner, Velma Winstead (Dixie Lee) and Judy Horchler.
A funeral service was held Wednesday, June 24, 2015. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the family towards the funeral expenses.
