CASTALIA - John Wayne Rich, Sr., 60, passed away on Sunday, November 18, 2007. He was born in Nash County on December 11, 1946 to the late William Titus and Irene Medlin Rich. He was preceded in death by his father.
John was a member of Castalia Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife Dorothy Leonard Rich, daughter, Lisa R. Jordon and husband Edward Ray Jordan of Spring Hope; son, John Wayne Rich, Jr., and wife Marcy of Rocky Mount; mother, Irene Medlin Rich of Castalia; brother William “Bill” Rich of Castalia; one nephew and four grandchildren. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to, Castalia Baptist Church.
The family received friends on Tuesday, November 20, 2007 from 7:00 – 8:30 pm at Wheeler & Woodlief Funeral Home. Funeral services were held on Wednesday, November 21, 2007 at 11:00 am at Castalia Baptist Church with Rev. Robert Leonard and Rev. Chris Carroll officiating. Burial followed at the Rich Family Cemetery. |
