JOSIAH DUNCAN "BUCK" BAKER

Josiah Duncan "Buck" Baker, 82, passed away on Saturday, April 25, 2015. Buck was born on August 3, 1932, in Nash County and was a resident of the Coopers Community.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Darlor Pridgen Baker; Son, Josiah Duncan Baker, Jr.; brother, William Otho Baker, Jr.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Otho Baker and Addie Pridgen Baker; brothers, James Purvis Baker and Walter Edison Baker; sister, Ruth Baker Christie; and brother-in-law, Walter E. Christie, Jr.
A Funeral Service was held on Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at the Chapel of Wheeler and Woodlief Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Rocky Mount with Rev. Paul Weaver and Rev. Leonard Thompson officiating. Burial followed the service at Forest Hills Cemetery in Nashville.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mount Zion United Methodist Church, 5326 London Church Road, Elm City or to other charities.
